After FURIA defeated PARIVISION at FISSURE Playground 3 in Suzhou, AndU spoke with Yuri yuurih Santos about the series and the team’s switch from Anubis to Ancient. The Brazilian also named the players he considers the future of the South American scene, discussed FalleN approaching the end of his career, spoke about his tattoos and Chinese fans.

Could you say a few words about the game? Was it quite easy?

I think the first map was a little bit easy. Everyone was playing really well, so we just ran over them. We won both pistol rounds, which made it quite easy. On the second map, we had a good half, but then we messed up a few rounds and the score became 9:9, so it got really, really difficult after that. In the end, everyone played well again and we won.

Why did you stop banning Ancient and then start playing it so well?

It is actually about Anubis. We tried to play Anubis many times, but we could not play it well. Then we started thinking about banning Anubis and playing Ancient instead, just to see whether we would perform better. I think we are currently playing Ancient better than Anubis, so it is a map that we are going to play more often.

Which player do you see as the future of Brazilian Counter-Strike? Which young player could become the future of the scene?

I think FalleN will retire soon, and after him it will be me and KSCERATO. There are a lot of young players right now. I can name three players who I think are going to be the future: insani, latto, and dumau. I think those three guys will keep playing at a very high level for a long time. I do not know any really young guy who is sixteen or seventeen, but I hope we are going to have someone truly exceptional in the future. Let’s see.
