During BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2, kyotostxr spoke with MOUZ AWPer Ádám torzsi Torzsás about the advantages of a well-drilled young roster over superstar lineups, selecting events in an overloaded calendar, the role of MOUZ NXT in player development, and the strongest professionals in several individual aspects of the game.
Looking ahead, do you think superstar teams such as G2 and Vitality will win more often, or teams like MOUZ that are built around young academy talent?
That is a very good question.
— torzsi
I think we are very good against teams made up of superstars.
The last time we played Spirit, we beat them in a best-of-five grand final, and before that, we also defeated Vitality in a best-of-five final.
Yes, we lost to them in Cologne, but we still feel confident and calm when we face teams like that.
Of course, there will be times when a star player wins a match almost on their own.
But over the long run, I think teams like ours will come out on top.
What do you think about next year’s calendar? The schedule looks incredibly packed, with tournaments running almost nonstop. Have you discussed it within the team?
Honestly, we have not discussed it yet.

But of course, every team will have to decide which tournaments to attend.
Obviously, teams will not play every event back to back.
They will need to choose very carefully so that the players do not burn out or become exhausted.
Tier-one teams will prioritize the most prestigious and important tournaments.
Some players may not want to attend certain events, but unfortunately, competing is part of our job.
Have you heard about PGL’s recent announcement? In 2025, they plan to hold tournaments in Buenos Aires, Astana, Bucharest, Belgrade, and São Paulo. Where would you most like to play?
Brazil and Argentina interest me the most.

I have never been there, but I have always wanted to visit South America.
So I would probably choose Argentina.
What do you think about the tournament in Kazakhstan? One of the region’s potential problems is high ping. Could that make practice difficult for the teams?
I am not really sure.
— torzsi
I have barely been to Asia—probably only China, when we played at IEM Chengdu.
Everything was great in China.
But honestly, I do not know very much about Kazakhstan, so we will have to see how everything works there.
What was the main factor that allowed the MOUZ NXT players to reach such a high level? Was it the enormous amount of work, strong management, coaching, or other people whose contribution the audience does not usually see?
There were many factors.

Of course, the MOUZ management played an important role by taking care of us.
The most important people were probably our coach and our captain, Kamil. They worked extremely hard together, figuring out different details and how they wanted to lead the team.
Xyp9x later joined the team as well, and he now works actively with sycrone and siuhy.
Our sports psychologist also helps us a great deal.
At the same time, every player puts in an enormous amount of work and tries to become the best possible player in their position.
