Virtus.pro secured a place in the playoffs of WINLINE MPKBK CIS LAN Season 5 in St. Petersburg. After the match, CS2NEWS spoke with Vadim tO0RO Arkov about his first impressions of the new roster, mir’s influence on the younger players, the fans’ expectations, and the atmosphere within the team.

Hi! Congratulations on reaching the playoffs. I think this is a significant achievement for you, especially given Virtus.pro’s history and background.
What are your overall impressions of the LAN and St. Petersburg?

Overall, everything is great. The tournament venue is good. My only issue is with the monitors, but apart from that, there are no major problems. St. Petersburg is a very beautiful city. I might even like to live here for a while.
As for reaching the playoffs, I think we deserved it. We practiced a lot before the tournament. We will see how we play from here. We will do our best.

mir is the new captain of this roster, which is a fairly unusual role for him. What can you say about him based on your practice sessions and the two matches you have played? Can you feel the impact of his many years of experience, and how does he help the team?

Kolya understands the game very well thanks to his extensive experience. He helps the younger players with decision-making and with mid-round and late-round timings. He also does a good job of keeping the team’s morale up.
Overall, he is an excellent captain and an excellent player.
