After BETBOOM TEAM defeated BIG at FISSURE Playground 3 in Suzhou, MN spoke with Pavel S1ren Ogloblin about the team’s condition after the Major and EWC, their goals for the rest of the year, and his own feelings about missing the Major. The conversation also touched on their goals for the current event, part of the team moving to Belgrade, and expectations for the next Major.
How did the game go overall?
It was pretty easy, actually, despite the score. I think we were always ahead, always in the game, and overall it felt like everything was under our control the whole time.

What is your goal for the rest of the year?
The goal is pretty consistent, actually. First of all, to progress as players. Just improving individually is the top priority. The second goal is to try to make the playoffs at every event and generally be competitive.

What happened after the Major that caused the team to struggle a little?
China [XSE Pro Leauge] was difficult overall because everyone on the team except me had played at the Major for a long time, and the guys needed a break, some rest. But we did not have one: we immediately flew to China to play, and that made things difficult. Individually, I also had a very bad tournament there because I had been sitting AFK for a long time, without competitive practice. I was playing FACEIT, of course, but that is completely different from a competitive level. And in general, not going to the Major had a pretty negative effect on my mental state. So that tournament was really bad both from me personally and from the team overall.
