Liquid lost 0–2 to Vitality in the opening round of the Esports World Cup 2025 and were eliminated from the tournament. After the match, MN spoke with Keith NAF Markovic about North America’s young players, the best decision and greatest memories of his career, and the Canadian’s most expensive purchase.
Can you name three of the best young prospects in North American Counter-Strike?
That is pretty tough. I do not even know who the top prospects are nowadays.
— NAF
If I think back to the old days, it was probably myself, Twistzz, and EliGE.
There are not too many up-and-coming North American players right now, so it is difficult to name three.
What was the best decision of your career: starting to play Counter-Strike or joining Liquid?
Obviously, my best decision was joining Liquid all those years ago.
— NAF
They are the team that has brought me all of my trophies so far.
What is the best memory of your career?
The first one was winning my first tier-one event with OpTic at ELEAGUE Season 2. It was a long time ago, around nine years ago.
— NAF
The other one was winning the Grand Slam.
I think those are my two favorite memories.
What is the most expensive purchase you have ever made?
It was probably a business that I bought a few years ago.
— NAF
It cost around 450 thousand dollars.
It is doing well, though, so I am making a lot of money from it.
Do you still own the company, and what does it do?
Yes, I still own the company.
