FURIA defeated paiN 2–1 in their opening match at BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2 in Hong Kong. After the series, kyotostxr spoke with Danil molodoy Golubenko about the challenges of the Brazilian derby, the reasons behind his improvement, his attitude toward pressure on stage, and the best AWPers in the world.

Hi! Congratulations on the win. FURIA are in excellent form, but this match was difficult. What went wrong?

I do not know. It was probably because it was our first match at the tournament and because it was a Brazilian derby. Our opponents really wanted to beat us and played well themselves.
They play structured Counter-Strike, so it was difficult for us today.

paiN are probably one of the most emotional teams, with their players shouting louder than many others. What is it like to play against an opponent like that?

It makes no difference to me at all. Anyone can shout—for me personally, it changes nothing.

molodoy

What helped you improve so much over the past year? Did you completely dedicate yourself to Counter-Strike, or was it strict discipline?

First, discipline. Second, I really did dedicate myself completely to Counter-Strike.
Third, belief in myself. Those things helped me improve so much.

molodoy

Do you feel any pressure when playing on a big stage, including after the recent IEM Chengdu?

No, everything is fine. There is no pressure. I simply try to enjoy the game and play Counter-Strike.
I have had that approach since my very first matches—I have always tried to enjoy playing.
