Falcons defeated Spirit 2–0 and secured a place in the BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2 playoffs. After the match, kyotostxr spoke with Ilya m0NESY Osipov about why the matchup against Spirit suits Falcons, his standout individual performance, the balance of the AWP in CS2, his practice routine, and his most important qualities as a player.
Congratulations on the win! Spirit are a strong team, but you keep beating them, and you personally have built an impressive streak against them. What part of playing against Spirit comes most easily to Falcons?
Probably our understanding of the game: the way we see it and the decisions we make against them during the match.

I would say the CT side comes most easily to us. On the T side, it is probably our teamwork—the way we move around the map together and make decisions.
I have to ask about your performance—you played incredibly well today. What did you have for breakfast? Or did you wake up knowing you were going to dominate?
I did not wake up feeling particularly good. I had a Subway sandwich and washed it down with Coca-Cola. I had some water before that—just a regular soft drink, and that was it.

Do you think AWPers have declined in CS2, and does the AWP need a buff? For example, should its magazine be restored to ten bullets?
I think the AWP is still a very strong weapon in CS2. You simply have to use it correctly, move around the map properly, and hit your shots.
The hardest thing now is hitting players who take wide peeks. The game has become a little faster. Players such as donk are very good against AWPers—it is simply easier for him to kill them.
