Falcons defeated G2 2–0 in the opening round of the Esports World Cup 2025 playoffs. After the match, gridge spoke with Ilya m0NESY Osipov about kyousuke’s impact on the team’s atmosphere and performance, as well as the happiest and most difficult periods of his career.
Congratulations on the victory! How has kyousuke’s arrival affected you, both inside and outside the game?
I think it has affected me positively. We have a great atmosphere.

Maksim is a very good person outside the game, and he is also a very good player.
His arrival definitely did not affect us for the worse—only for the better.
Our team started playing much better after he joined than we had before.
Which moment of your career do you consider the happiest, and which period was the most difficult?
The happiest moment of my career was probably joining G2.
— m0NESY
That was where I began to grow significantly, both as a player and as a person. Most of the players and people working in the organization helped me.
One player from that lineup is still beside me today—NiKo—and we continue to play together.
So I would probably call my time in G2 the happiest period of my career.
I do not think there has been one single worst period. There are simply difficult stretches when you play poorly individually, the team keeps losing, and you cannot see an obvious way out.
But perhaps the last two tournaments—the Major and Cologne—were not the best period for either me individually or the team.
