During BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2, kyotostxr spoke with paiN player Lucas lux Meneghini about the secret behind the Brazilian roster’s success, the impact of snow’s emotional celebrations, paiN’s status in South America, and the organization’s role in developing young players.
You guys have been playing incredibly well. What is your secret?
I am still trying to find it myself.

We grind and practice a great deal.
Our family energy helps us a lot. We spend almost all of our time together, and we have fun doing it.
What does snow feel when he shouts after winning a round? Are those simply emotions, or do his celebrations genuinely give the team a mental boost?
Of course, they give us a boost.

It gives the team a huge amount of energy. Perhaps that was the missing piece we needed.
We made two roster changes this year, and now things have finally started working.
Do you consider paiN the strongest team in Brazil or South America? Is there a chance that you will enter the world’s top ten after BetBoom Dacha?
I think we are currently the best team that consistently competes in South America.

FURIA do not play in our region very often, and I would not say that we are already better than them.
But we have produced many good and respectable results this year, so we can confidently call ourselves the number-one team in the region.
I am not sure about the world’s top ten. Perhaps if we reach the final, it could happen.
You joined paiN around a year ago. Is this the best organization you have represented, and what makes it different from the others?
From my first day with the team, I realized that everything worked differently here.

I think that is one of the main reasons paiN have been successful with several different lineups.
What was your first salary in Counter-Strike, and what did you spend it on?
My first earnings came from a tournament.

I do not know whether I can reveal the exact amount.
I invested the money in cryptocurrency. It was in 2021, so the investment did not work out.
Who do you consider the most underrated player on the professional scene?
That is a difficult question.

Probably TACO during the SK and Luminosity era.
