FURIA defeated Eternal Fire 19–17 on Dust2 in the Group B final of the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2 Play-In, earning a higher seed for the main event. After the hard-fought map, kyotostxr spoke with Kaike KSCERATO Cerato about the closing rounds, his ambition to become the best player in the world, FURIA’s current style, and possible changes to Counter-Strike 2.

Congratulations on the win! How difficult was it to close out the final round considering the economy and each team’s confidence? What did you change in overtime?

Overtime was very difficult. I do not even remember everything anymore because there were so many thoughts going through my head at the time.
FalleN made some good calls in the final rounds on the CT side.
We lost two rounds on the T side, but we still managed to close out the match.

You have consistently performed at a high level, but you have also said that you are not yet in your prime. Is becoming the best player in the world your idea of reaching it?

Yes.
But to be a true world number one, you need to consistently and confidently win big tournaments.
I also still have many different things to learn because I consider myself a young player.
I am confident that I can do it.

What would you say to Gabe Newell if you met him face to face?

At first, I would probably ask who he was.
Seriously, though, I would ask him to be more attentive to Counter-Strike, especially when you compare the number of changes in CS with Dota 2.
