MOUZ lost 1–2 to Falcons in the Esports World Cup 2025 quarterfinals and finished the tournament in the top eight. After the match, MN spoke with Jimi Jimpphat Salo about the team’s prolonged trophy drought, the roster’s individual consistency, and the brightest memories of his career.

In the eyes of the community, MOUZ remain one of the best teams in the world, but you have gone around half a year without winning a trophy. You were regularly reaching semifinals and now finished in the quarterfinals. What do you think the team is missing?

Of course, it sucks a lot not to win any trophies for such a long time.
We know that we are really close and capable of winning tournaments. The trophies are not that far away from us.
I think the biggest issue is that we are inconsistent individually.
We are not lacking anything tactically. We are as good as the other teams in that regard, and we have everything we need.
It is just the individual consistency that always seems to get to us somehow.
Of course, these teams are extremely good. Nobody expects you to play well all the time against them because they make it difficult.
But I think it is something we really need to improve.

Who is the best teammate you have had throughout your career?

I do not actually know.
I have played with xertioN for a long time, so I think he is definitely one of them.
Of course, I could mention everyone from MOUZ, as well as some of the Finnish players I played with earlier in my career.
I would especially mention HENU. He was my teammate for a couple of years when I started playing, and it was an amazing time.
