After Legacy defeated magic at FISSURE Playground 3 in Suzhou, AndU spoke with Brazilian rifler Eduardo dumau Wolkmer about the tense series and the mouse issues that affected him on the opening maps. He also discussed who he would like to face next and reflected on the best and worst moments of his career.

How was your trip to Suzhou? Do you like the city?

Yes, Suzhou is amazing. It almost feels like being in a movie. You see places like this in films, and everything around you is so beautiful — there are lots of mountains and so much greenery. I do not know, it is just really beautiful.

What can you say about this match? It was tough, there were overtimes... What do you think?

The game itself was insanely stressful, and we also had a lot of problems right before the match. On the first map, I was basically playing only with taps — I could not spray at all. I could not kill anyone with a spray because my mouse was lagging badly. I do not know exactly why, maybe because of the desk setup or something like that, but I could not spray, only tap one bullet at a time. I told my teammates, ‘Guys, this is impossible, I cannot play like this.’ I restarted the PC and tried to fix it. It worked for a little while, but then the computer itself started lagging. I played two rounds at 100 FPS and said, ‘Guys, this is impossible, we need to change something.’ We still managed to finish the first map and win it. Then we moved to the second map. During warmup, I still could not spray — the mouse sensor was lagging terribly. I said, ‘That is it, guys, this is impossible, I am changing my gear.’ In the end, I connected the mouse by cable, changed the mouse itself, changed the receiver — I changed everything. For me, it was the maximum possible level of stress, both because the game itself was so tense and because of all the technical issues. By the third map, we finally managed to get everything working. I warmed up with another mouse and it felt much better. Mirage was still very difficult because our opponents played really well. It felt like they were all on the same wavelength and shooting incredibly well. In the end, the game was unbelievably close and came down to tiny decisions in individual situations.
