Shortly before IEM Chengdu 2025, The MongolZ called on experienced Mongolian rifler Unudelger controlez Baasanjargal to replace Senzu. The team had only a few days to practice together, but the newcomer adapted quickly and delivered a strong showing at the event. In an interview with kyotostxr, he discussed the Major preparation, how he joined the roster, and the atmosphere within The MongolZ.

First of all, let us talk about the upcoming Major. How are you preparing for it?

I was called up to the team around ten days before the tournament. We only managed to practice together for three or four days before it began.
There will be eleven days between BLAST and the Major. Those will be extremely important days for us to get proper practice in Europe.

The MongolZ have sometimes looked down after both wins and losses, while mzinho often posts emotional messages on X. You, on the other hand, are almost always smiling. Do you help lift the team’s mood?

I try to keep the mood positive. Playing Counter-Strike is amazing, and I genuinely enjoy it.
I think I can describe myself as someone who helps maintain a good atmosphere within the team.

How did The MongolZ decide to approach you?

I already knew the players, and I am one of the more experienced players in Mongolia.
I have leadership qualities, so perhaps they felt I was the right person for this situation. I think the decision came down to my experience and other qualities like that.

Your HLTV statistics before joining The MongolZ were not especially impressive, but you played very well in Chengdu. How would you explain that?
