3DMAX defeated defending Esports World Cup champions NAVI 2–1 in the opening round of the 2025 event and advanced to the quarterfinals. After the match, MN spoke with Alexandre bodyy Pianaro about the importance of the victory for the team’s new structure, their chances of making a genuine deep run, and his international dream lineup.

You look very young for 28. What is the secret behind your beauty?

Take plenty of holidays in San Diego—it is my favorite city in the world.
You should also go to the gym, get pumped, and be happy in life. Then you will become beautiful too—not like me, of course, but in your own way.

You have just beaten a tier-one team that won the Esports World Cup last year. How are you feeling after the victory?

Very good, but this is only one of the first games that we want to win.
At many tournaments, we have been close to making deep runs and reaching the playoffs. That is what we want to achieve in the second half of the season.
It feels really good to beat one of the best teams in the world. A victory like this gives us a lot of confidence.
Now that Graviti has become our in-game leader, we especially needed a win like this to build confidence.
I think this victory will help us get over the barrier that has previously stopped us from consistently making deep runs.

Could this victory mark the beginning of 3DMAX’s first genuinely deep run at a major event?

For me personally, probably not, because I have won tournaments before.
But for this 3DMAX lineup, yes.
We lacked playoff appearances at the beginning of the year, and this is already one of the team’s best runs in recent times.
